in hundreds of gigabytes of data -- or following the guys with guns on a search warrant.
We don't work for criminals and often do criminal background checks on clients to know who we are dealing with.
Defense teams also call us to investigate evidence. As with prosecution cases we ask defense attorneys to convince us that they are on the side of truth. Our work and expert witness testimony is always aimed at revealing the truth; so we avoid being retained by the wrong side.

A local police department called us to evaluate evidence in an assault case. The victim's story was bizarre. He told of being tied up and threatened with a syringe filled with drain cleaner.
Our investigation confirmed his testimony... but a judge who was a friend of the family released the suspect on bail!
He promptly killed the man he had assaulted. Our testimony in the murder trial illustrated the connection between the killer and victim.
