Often we are called to check a spouse's activity.

That is a case that we normally decline. In most cases there is more long screen  term benefit in marriage counseling than digging up rumors from a computer.

Sometimes wives want to use our investigation to show that their husbands are looking at porn on the web. We advise them to get Thumbs Plus® and check it themselves. Porn is terribly destructive to families. We are 100% against it - but avoid sticking our heads into this sewer whenever possible.

Breaking up marriages is not our business anyway.

Monitoring kids activity on the Internet is not just a good idea - it is critical. Any parent who does not do all of the following is irresponsibly placing their kids at risk:
  • keep family computers in a public area, not in bedrooms
  • prohibit all chat activity (a favorite of pedophiles)
  • monitor details of kid's activity using a keystroke logger
  • use filtering software or hardware to prevent access to porn sites

case study
case title

His lawyer called asking us to check on a wife's porn activity on the family computer. It was to be used to get custody of the kids.

We declined the case because:

1. We have almost never seen a woman's computer with porn on it.

2. Our experience with parties in divorces indicates that the truth is not always their goal.

3. It would not make any difference anyway.
